Compare & Contrast: Lamborghini Veneno vs. Laferrari

All the talk about the two new upcomming monsters of technology and transportaion makes you wonder what is the best of the three. If you were to ask me i would honestly not be able to give you an answer. Compared to the price of these cars we are the beggars, and beggars can't be choosers. If i were to be a billionaire that had money to waste I would have to pick the Lamborghini Veneno, only because there are two of them in the world and you would have one of the most expensive and rare cars of all time. If i was to make a smart decision, not saying rich people aren't smart, i would go with the Ferrari Laferrari. Its weight to power ratio is the best of the three. Not only does it look beautiful but performance wise it seems to show the best specs. its also a third if the price, you can either buy one Lamborghini Venenos or three Laferraris. Ferrari LaFerrari

The Ferrari LaFerrari is not only powered by a V12 engine but also by an electric motor. The V12 engine produces 800 hp, and the electric motor makes 163 hp, together they make 963 horses. Both engines combined produce over 663 ft-lb of torque. The V12 engine in the Laferrari is the most powerful engine ever put in a Ferrari road car. For all this power to flow smoothly, Ferrari has installed an F1 dual-clutch gearbox. The LaFerrari is said to have a top speed of 217 mph, and will go 0-60 in under three seconds. It gets better, the LaFerrari only weighs 2,800 lbs. The body shell of this car is made up of only carbon fiber. The car even has Kevlar woven into the carbon fiber. Ferrari will produce only 499 of these beasts, of which all of them have already been sold. Ferrari is yet to put a price on this baby, but you can expect something in the 2-4 millions. Lamborghini Veneno

In celebration of the mad Italian automaker's 50th birthday, Lamborghini has built the Veneno. With only four of these monsters in production, the Veneno is said to have a top speed of 220 mph, running on a seven-speed semi-automatic 6.5-liter V12 engine, producing 740 horsepower. Priced at a staggering 3.9 million dollars, all three available Venenos have already been sold. So chances on getting your hands on one of these bad boys are very slim. Recently, leaked photos show the all new topless Lamborghini. The Veneno, the topless beast, should be cheaper but that's not true. The 9 topless Venenos that will be produced, will be sold at about 4.5 million dollars. You may be wondering, why are they so expensive? It's because of its weight. For a 6.5 liter V12, 3285 lbs is very light, allowing the Veneno to go 0-60 in about 2.8 seconds and dominating the track.

Agera One

Koenigsegg’s latest model, the Agera One, is estimated to go from 0 to 248 mph in 20 seconds. Founder of the Swedish high-performance automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive AB., Christian Von Koenigsegg, is planning to build a model that will make just as much power as it weighs in kilograms. That means the upcoming “One” megacar will make 1400 horsepower and weigh 1400 kg’s, and will be powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter v8. Hence the one-to-one ratio and the model name “One”. All this translates to a top speed exceeding 280 miles per hour. That  literally makes every other production car look slow. Koenigsegg will make only 6 of these models, all of which have been pre-sold already. This car is still a concept and no release date is yet confirmed.
